Training objectives

- Civil and Industrial Construction Engineering majors:

The training objective of the Civil and Industrial Construction major is to train civil engineers with in-depth knowledge of the design and construction of civil and industrial projects. Upon graduation, engineers will be capable of designing, organizing, supervising, controlling, and managing the construction and project management of civil and industrial projects, including projects with high technical requirements such as high-rise buildings, sports arenas, stadiums, television towers, and reservoirs.

Currently, there are over 50 Construction classes (5 cohorts) with approximately 3000 students specializing in Civil and Industrial Construction.

- Construction majors with English language skills:

Established in 2009 by a decision of the Ministry of Education and Training.

This is a specialized training program in Civil and Industrial Construction at the University of Construction. Specialized courses are taught in English by a team of highly qualified lecturers with expertise in both subject matter and English. From the first to the fifth year, students will continuously receive advanced English training from both domestic and international lecturers. At the end of the course, students will complete and defend their graduation project in English.

To date, the Faculty of Civil Engineering has enrolled 8 cohorts of over 700 students specializing in Civil and Industrial Construction, trained in English. Of these, more than 250 students have graduated and become English-speaking engineers working in foreign construction companies, joint ventures with foreign companies, and large domestic construction corporations.

- French-speaking construction specialization group:

Established in 1994 under a cooperation agreement between the University of Civil Engineering and the Francophone Community University Organization (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie - AUF).

This is a specialized training program in Civil and Industrial Construction at the University of Construction. Specialized courses are taught in French by a team of highly qualified lecturers with expertise in both subject matter and French. From the first to the fifth year, students will continuously study advanced French with instructors from both Vietnam and abroad. At the end of the course, students will complete and defend their graduation project in French.

With 25 years of establishment and development, nearly 700 French-speaking engineers have graduated; of which nearly 300 students have been or are currently pursuing Master's degrees in France and other French-speaking countries; and more than 200 have been or are currently pursuing PhDs in France and other French-speaking countries.
