The Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction organized a field trip to introduce the program to students of classes XE and XF (K65 and K66).

On May 14, 2022, the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, organized a field trip for K65 and K66 students from classes XE and XF, with over 282 students participating. The trip took place at the Ecopark Group Joint Stock Company office and the Swan Lake Park apartment complex construction site.

During the tour, students had the opportunity to listen to presentations about skills; job positions and departmental organizational models at the company; career opportunities; work experience; recruitment criteria the company requires of candidates; and insights into the work process from CEOs, CFOs, and other company leaders. In addition, students toured the work and recreation areas to gain a better understanding of the company culture; observing the layout and professional workspace. From this, students gained a clearer understanding of the Civil Engineering field; the role and position of civil engineers in construction projects; and the work involved in construction.

These field trips not only help students improve their knowledge and skills, but more importantly, they help them develop a serious and professional attitude towards their studies and work, meeting the demands of the domestic and regional labor markets.

Speaking at the field trip, Associate Professor Pham Thanh Tung – Head of the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction – shared that higher education in Vietnam has developed rapidly in scale and diversity of training types and fields in recent years, but the quality of graduates still does not meet the expectations of businesses. Therefore, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in general, and the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction in particular, always focus on cooperating with businesses and employers, providing many opportunities for practical experience, learning, and employment for students.

Organizing field trips to businesses can be seen as an effective bridge, where businesses and schools meet and develop relationships to achieve the common goal of providing students with practical knowledge and skills – an important foundation for future career development.
