Job description:
- Review/approve and provide feedback on the design and structural calculations of construction projects to ensure load-bearing capacity and durability.
- Supervise field survey activities to determine the durability and suitability of foundations and soil characteristics.
- Consider and analyze the structural components of a building.
- Consider and provide opinions on the pressure, tension, and deformation that each component will have to withstand during human use or under environmental impacts such as bad weather, earthquakes, etc.
- Coordinate with construction contractors to ensure that the new building is constructed according to the design and requirements of the client.
- Applying specialized knowledge of forces acting on structures to ensure their safety.
- Propose effective structural solutions.
- Prepare reports on structural calculations, project progress, and propose adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with the construction contractor to ensure the design is practical and realistic.
- Supervise the construction process, check the quality of materials, and handle any technical issues that arise.
